Stop Passing Judgment on One Another

Therefore, let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or
obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.” (Romans 14:13)
Firstly, I want to say that one of the responsibilities of a leader is to make assessments of people and situations. Leaders
do exercise judgment about circumstances.
But what the Apostle Paul is speaking about here is “passing judgment” upon others. His term has a tone of
condemnation or looking down upon. We see this in verse 10 where he asks, “why do you treat them with contempt?”

Walk in the Spirit

Galatians 5:16 is a wonderful promise from God for his children. “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.”  The promise indicates anew kind of spiritual power for the children of God.  But what does it mean to walk in the Spirit?  How can we get started?

We will come to a COMPLETION: (THAT IS FULFILLMENT).

This fulfillment of the Holy Spirit filling us with His power & gifts will set us free from our own limitations (within our own mindsets).

Who is the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God.  He is one of three persons of the godhead.  And the Holy Spirit is a person. What does this mean in practical terms?  When we understand these two truths about the Holy Spirit (that he is God and he is a person), we can relate to him well; we can allow him to do his gracious work in us without fear and with great assurance and faith.

Good and godly leaders are called to edify those who follow them. One aspect of this is to “instruct.” This instruction
may take many forms. While occasionally it may be a classroom setting, most often teaching opportunities arise during
the course of normal life.

Our churches must be known for both practical expressions of love and spiritual expressions of love. Love is practical.  If love is not practical, it is nothing.

But love is also spiritual. All love originates in God because God is love. But, what does all this mean for us as church planters?

Be at Peace with One Another

What does salt and saltiness have to do with being at peace with one another?  That’s a good question; I’m glad that you asked. 
I think the key is contained in the phrase “have salt among yourselves.”

Keep the Marriage Bed Pure

God is the author of marriage. Marriage is his idea. He knows and understands
that two are better than one. He said, “It is not good for man to be alone.”
God, our Creator, is the one who designed marriage as a covenant relationship
in which one man and one woman come together in sexual unity.
