Multiply is designed to encourage village church planters in Africa and beyond. Episodes draw on scriptural truths, practical lessons learned in Village Church Planting training centers, or practical leadership principles directly applicable to beginning church planters. Episodes are short, usually just four minutes in length, to facilitate sharing on What’s App. We hope you are encouraged by Multiply! Remember, God is with us!

The Holy Spirit is God. He is one of three persons of the godhead. And the Holy Spirit is a person. What does this mean in practical terms? When we understand these two truths about the Holy Spirit (that he is God and he is a person), we can relate to him well; we can allow him to do his gracious work in us without fear and with great assurance and faith.

Good and godly leaders are called to edify those who follow them. One aspect of this is to “instruct.” This instruction
may take many forms. While occasionally it may be a classroom setting, most often teaching opportunities arise during
the course of normal life.

Our churches must be known for both practical expressions of love and spiritual expressions of love. Love is practical. If love is not practical, it is nothing.
But love is also spiritual. All love originates in God because God is love. But, what does all this mean for us as church planters?

Wedding vows are important; wedding vows are serious. Wedding vows, spoken before many witnesses at a wedding ceremony, provide guardrails that keep married couples on the straight and narrow road that leads to blessing, peace, and harmony.

God is the author of marriage. Marriage is his idea. He knows and understands
that two are better than one. He said, “It is not good for man to be alone.”
God, our Creator, is the one who designed marriage as a covenant relationship
in which one man and one woman come together in sexual unity.

We will be known by our love and kindness so church planters when Colossians 3:13 says to bear graciously it flows from a heart full of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience which has the power to endure. We will be flowing from our lives the ability to forgive and able to have grace when another brother or sister has a moment that may not be at their best or what they would want to be.

Romans 12:13 in the amplified version which says: “…contributing to the needs of God’s people, pursuing [the practice of] hospitality.”
Contributing within our marriages is a big one one, isn’t it? It’s doing ‘our-part’ to make the family dynamics flow smoothly. Sometimes, we all do forget to do our part to help the household flow, as we must try to ease off the burden of our spouse to simply put into words; ‘to be a blessing!’
When we contribute to the needs of others, including our family, we are showing hospitality.

Recognize the origins of this word “encouragement.” It means to “make strong, hearten, or to give heart.” When we speak words of affirmation and encouragement to others, we build up hope in them.
