• Clearly understood information or instructions
• Alignment on desired objectives or goals
• Motivation toward a desired response

Mutual understanding between the one communicating and the listener. 

Apply God’s Word

Today’s podcast is about a dangerous position pastors, Bible teachers, and church planters sometimes find ourselves in.  Sometimes in our zeal to teach others, we expect them to apply Bible teachings that we have not applied in our own life. This can be very dangerous. Jesus gave strong warnings against such hypocrisy.

Interpret the Word of God

It is so very important for us as church planters, pastors, leaders and Christians to interpret the word of God correctly. . The apostle Paul writes in the epistles some harsh words but when we know the WHO, WHERE, WHY and in the context of the letter we can understand his passion to get the point across so there was no doubt to what he was trying to teach.

Observe God’s Word

King David said, “The words of the Lord are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times.”  And yet so often we just read His word superficially. In doing so, we fail to access the flawless riches the Bible provides for us. We fail to be fully enriched by God’s word.

“Effective leaders have the courage to hold others responsible when they have done wrongly.”  Today, we will discuss how good and godly leaders respond to serious mistakes and failures.

Study the Word of God

The power of God’s Word changes us and then in turn can change others for His good and glory! We become increasingly hungry for Him, wanting to draw ever so close and deep into His presence. The more we study, we will be empowered to be effective for His called purpose upon all our lives.

Jesus taught about accountability in His parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30.  You likely remember the story.  A man went away on a journey and left certain amounts of money to his three servants. The first servant received five bags, the second received two and the third servant received one bag … “dividing it in proportion to their abilities.” (vs 15)
